Our Heritage

It all began in Boyne City, Michigan when Jim's grandfather started with one truck and the business developed into one of the strongest LTL fleet of carriers in the upper Midwest. Now the third generation is specializing in a full range of supply chain solutions.

A family transportation heritage since 1927  

Jim Parker, President   

Jim has been around trucks all of his life.  During High School he worked for his family's LTL trucking company as a freight biller. While attending Michigan State University for his BA in Materials and Logistics Management, he worked at various terminal throughout Michigan on the docks and in the maintenance garages. Upon graduation, Jim did a year long stint in the IT Department before  working many years as a Field Sales Rep. Later, he moved into a Regional Sales Manager position and then became VP of Sales and Marketing in charge of sales for the LTL division and the freight brokerage division. During this time, the company created a warehousing division where Jim was the Director of Operations. During the last several years Jim served as Executive VP of the family's 3PL business as well as Director of Operations for a joint venture automotive 3PL.

Jim is now the President of CURRENT LOGISTICS  that provides supply chain solutions and a full range of 3PL services.
